Most manufactures use a lot of horsepower to make their crushers work faster, We prefer to use a little physics.

High Speed Oil Bypass System

The system allows high speed operation, you can move the deck a full 8’ up and 8’ down in under 15 seconds. That’s even  more impressive when you consider we have 2 foot more stroke than some crushers. This puts the combined cylinder oil flow at over 600 gpm. compared to 80 gpm. on a standard crusher.

It’s really quite simple, a cylinder is always full of oil. The bypass system transfers that oil between the top and bottom cylinder ports.

On our standard hydraulic system, to raise the deck we pump 32 gallons of oil into the bottom of each cylinder and send the 27 gallons of oil in the top back to the tank. The 5 gallon difference is equal to the area of the rod. To lower the deck we pump 27 gallons into the top and send the 32 gallon in the bottom, back to the tank.

When our design team set out to build a high speed unit, they looked at one basic principle. It takes 1hp to pump 1 gallon of oil at 1500psi. That leaves 2 options, get a big expensive fuel hogging engine with lots of horsepower or find a way to pump less oil. We found a way

Features  2-1\2" Bypass Valves Along With 2-1\2" Cylinder Ports

On our High Speed Hydraulic system we don’t send oil all the way back to the tank. We transfer it directly to the other side of the cylinder. This means to raise or lower the deck we only need to move 5 gallons (rod area) of oil per cylinder, not the full 32 gallons like the standard system.

Here is how it works . To raise the deck we take the 27 gallons of hydraulic oil that is in the top of the cylinder and transfer it to the bottom through the 2.5" bypass valve, adding only 5 gallons of oil from the pump . Now in about 8seconds we have put 32 gallons in the bottom of the cylinder. Putting our actual cylinder port oil flow at over 200 gallons per minute.

When you lower the deck, the oil in the bottom of the cylinder transfers to the top through the bypass valve. Since there is more oil in the bottom than the top we send only the excess 5 gallons back to the tank. It will retract the full 8’ in just 7 seconds. Putting our actual cylinder port oil flow at over 270 gallons per minute. Now you know why we have 2.5" cylinder ports. You can adjust how far you want it to fall before the valve automatically closes, once closed the 10" cylinder works normally. Creating 159 Tons of crushing power.

With the Overbuilt less horsepower does more work in less time.

That means: Lower fuel costs $$ Lower labor costs $$ Lower Maintenance costs

$$ All putting more money in your pocket$$
